Using the Policies Calendar

The icon in the Status Calendar indicates a policy is attached at the property level using Preferences, or set at the item or rate level. The Policies calendar displays the date-based policies on your individual items and rates. These are your guarantee, cancel, no show and early checkout policies on specific dates (see Appendix A for policy hierarchy).

Be aware that policies set using the Policies calendar will override any assigned or default policies set up in Preferences or in the Item/Rate Setup tab for those dates. Any policy added for specific time frames must be entered at the Rate/Item level and not at the rate plan level. These policies also can be viewed in the Status calendar by hovering over the icon. Policies set here also appear in the Rate Calendar (using the Policies filter).

What actions can I take?

To view the policy name, move your cursor over the policy type displayed inside the calendar cell. If a new policy is required, it must first be set up in Policies and be available.
